To see the different layers in Canva:
- Click anywhere on the page, background, or element.
- Along the top toolbar, click “Position.”
- Click the “Layers” tab.
- Click on “See all layers.”
Now you’ll see all of the different layers that are currently on the page. In this example, I see the waves, stars, and moon. You’ll notice the layers are arranged in the order they’re stacked on the page, and thus, the moon is in front of the stars, and the stars are behind the waves.
If you’re on a mobile device, the process is a little different:
- Click anywhere on the page, background, or element.
- In the toolbar at the bottom of the page, select “Layers.”
From there, you’ll see the different layers just as easily as you can see them on Desktop.
In either case, no matter the device, you can press and hold a single layer or Canva element, and then drag and drop it to your desired position. Alternatively, you can click “Position” and then on the “Arrange” tab, click any of the four options (“forward,” “backward,” “to front,” or “to back”).
